I post links on this site to products/sites I think are of interest to my readers. If I happen to have a referral or affiliate version of the link, of course I’m going to use that instead of the generic link. Depending on the particular link, I might get some form of compensation if you click on the link, click and sign up for something, or click and buy something. Whenever you see referral/affiliate links on the web, you should ask yourself whether the blogger is being influenced by the promise of compensation.
